The LANDYINDUS Hydraulic Fork-Style Waste Grab is a heavy-duty forklift attachment engineered for the efficient, secure, and damage-free handling of loose scrap iron, scrap metal fragments, waste paper bales, and mixed industrial waste. Available in three Class 3A configurations for 3–3.5 tonne forklifts, this hydraulic grab combines fork-tine penetration with top-claw closure to handle loose and small-format waste materials that conventional bucket attachments and two-jaw grabs cannot retain effectively.

Fork-Penetration-First Action — Superior Grip for Dense & Compacted Waste

The fork-style grab design is the defining structural feature that differentiates this attachment from conventional clamshell and orange peel grabs. Rather than relying solely on opposing jaws closing from above, this design operates in two distinct stages:

  1. Penetration: The operator drives the fork tines into the base of the material pile, achieving deep initial penetration and load engagement from underneath.
  2. Closure: The single hydraulic top-claw closes downward over the collected material, locking it against the forks.

This fork-penetration-first grab action is highly effective for handling compacted waste paper bales, dense scrap metal accumulations, and mixed waste piles where surface-only jaw closure cannot achieve sufficient material penetration. The compact claw geometry is also specifically optimised for retaining smaller-format materials — such as iron swarf, small scrap fragments, and paper offcuts — that would easily slip through the wider jaw gaps of large orange peel grabs.

Integrated Hydraulic Tilt — 45° Forward / 25° Backward

Equipped with a hinged fork function, the integrated hydraulic tilt mechanism delivers 45 degrees of forward tilt and 25 degrees of backward tilt, controlled directly from the forklift cab:

  • Tilt Backward (25°): Retains loose scrap fragments, paper offcuts, and fine waste securely against the carriage during travel across uneven yard surfaces, preventing material loss during transit.
  • Tilt Forward (45°): Enables precise angular deposit of collected waste into shredders, processing equipment hoppers, transport vehicle bodies, and waste containers — eliminating dangerous manual repositioning.

Optional Bucket Configuration — Ultimate Multi-Function Capability

The carriage mounting allows for an optional bucket configuration alongside the fork waste grab. This enables the operator to switch between grabbing bulky waste and scooping fine, loose material (such as sawdust, aggregate, or fine metal shavings) within the same operational shift. This eliminates the need to change attachments or deploy a second machine for bucket-based cleanup operations.

Hydraulic Integration | 16 MPa / 60 LPM

The grab features a single-cylinder top-claw design. The system operates at a working pressure of 16 MPa with a flow requirement of 60 LPM. This is fully compatible with the auxiliary hydraulic circuits of standard Class 3A counterbalance forklifts. Two auxiliary hydraulic circuits (3rd and 4th valves) are required to operate both the grab and tilt functions independently.
